The fee stack is the real difference
THORChain, Maya, Chainflip, and NEAR Intents charge their own protocol fees regardless of which front end you use: THORChain 5 to 50 bps, Maya 10 to 20 bps, Chainflip 1 to 10 bps, NEAR Intents around 1 bp. Those numbers are identical whether the quote comes from SwapKit or RAVN, because they are the same venues.
What is not identical is what gets added on top. SwapKit's own documentation states a base fee of 10 to 15 bps, and integrators (a wallet, a frontend) can layer their own additional fee above that. A user swapping through a SwapKit-powered wallet can be paying the venue's fee, SwapKit's fee, and the wallet's own markup, three layers deep. RAVN adds 0 bps on every route today. The venue's own fee is the only fee.
Same-chain execution: RFQ vs a DEX aggregator
SwapKit's single-chain swaps run through 1inch on EVM chains and Jupiter on Solana, both standard DEX aggregators. You still pay gas, and you still have slippage tolerance to set. RAVN's same-chain EVM routes go through 0x Gasless, Bebop, and CoW instead: RFQ market makers where you sign an off-chain message, a solver covers the gas, and the price is firm. For a same-chain swap, that is a meaningfully different execution model, not just a different provider name.
AI agents: the gap SwapKit doesn't have documented
SwapKit's docs, blog, and FAQ describe wallets and developers as the integration audience, no mention of MCP, x402, or agent-native access anywhere in the public material as of this writing. RAVN ships both: a free MCP server (https://app.ravn.exchange/api/mcp) that Claude, Cursor, and any MCP client can call with no API key, verified live and listed on MCP.so (verified, featured), Glama (4.4/5.0), and Smithery, plus x402 endpoints priced at $0.001 to $0.01 a call, confirmed indexed in Coinbase's x402 Bazaar discovery catalog. If an agent needs to quote and execute a cross-chain swap on its own, RAVN has a documented path for that today. SwapKit, based on everything public, does not yet.

Being fair matters more than being flattering here. Three real advantages:
- Chain coverage. 30+ chains and 6,000+ assets, including XRP, Cardano, Cosmos, Dogecoin, and Tron, none of which RAVN quotes. If your pair lives outside EVM, Solana, and Bitcoin, SwapKit's underlying providers reach further.
- Track record at scale. SwapKit powers swaps inside Ledger Live and Trust Wallet today. Ledger alone has generated roughly $7M in affiliate fees on THORChain through SwapKit over about a year and a half, real, disclosed, production volume.
- Open-source SDK. SwapKit's SDK and smart contracts are open source on GitHub. Its API is closed source; RAVN doesn't have a public claim to make here either, so this stays a SwapKit point, not a wash.
